Make Some Noise for Part of It

The Make Some Noise tote by Wyeth Hansen was recently featured in the UK’s Creative Arts magazine and looked absolutely sizzling!

The totes are available now from Part of It ($20). The same design on a classic white tee is $28. A portion of the profits from both products has been designated by Wyeth to go to the Fresno Arts Council.

Part of It in Grafik!

One of our very, very favorite magazines in the whole entire world, Grafik, profiled Part of It in their March 2008 issue. We only just got a copy this week, and are thrilled with the way they distilled the founding of Part of It and described the project. Mark Owens’s “Inherit the Wind” bag was featured in their Showcase photo shoot.

Grafik can be a little hard to get in the US (we order our copies from You Work For Them), so we took a couple of snapshots to share. Enjoy!

Part of It in Nylon!

Wow! We are just so psyched about this!

Nylon Magazine features Part of It’s “Inherit the Wind” tote (designed by Mark Owens, $20.00 from Part of It) in the 2008 April issue. We were excited to be featured alongside designers like Tracy Jenkins of Village, Keren Richter, and the good folks at Loyalty and Blood. So many cool totes, so little time!

And we’ve been fortunate to be getting some thoughtful press online as well. Thanks to Urban Socialite and T-Shirt Island for both profiling the Part of It project!

We are super thrilled that the nice folks at American Way Magazine chose to feature Mike Perry’s “It’s You and Me” shirt in a recent column. Part of It was one of six initiatives featured, all of which funnel money toward good causes. Excellent company, indeed.

Exciting news for Part of It!

We’ve learned the project is featured in the latest issue of Good Magazine (Issue 009 / March-April) along with some fellow t-shirt endeavors that strive to make a difference.

We’re super thrilled to find ourselves in such excellent company. Good news all around!

It’s a Gas

Just a quick note to thank Gas as Interface for profiling Part of It on their Atmosphere blog!

Lots of nice people have noticed what’s going on here, and written or blogged about Part of It.

Through their links back to the site, we’ve learned about great efforts to chart social activism and the arts… like the Groundswell blog, “dedicated to clever and innovative trends in art and design in activism.” It’s really inspiring to us to see this idea of ours made real, and find that others are on the same wavelength. It does seem as if there’s a cultural turn in the air, that we’re not alone in thinking that everyone has a part to play in collective social change, and that the arts can play a critical role in this effort.
